Trademark Law and Competition Law

The success of a company and its products depends heavily on the design of the brands used. Competition law ensures that competitors do not use unfair practices, whilst allowing them to maximise the success of their businesses by vital and effective promotional and competitive activities. I offer consultation and advice to help you design promotional campaigns and marketing strategies in line with legal regulations and court decisions.

As a certified lawyer for industrial property law, I check if marks and logos qualify for protection. In addition, I represent you in the application and registration of national, European and international trademarks as well as in the international registration of trademarks, including opposition, nullity and cancellation proceedings in respect of own and of third party trademarks. Moreover, I support you in the prosecution of, and defence against, claims for trademark-infringing or anti-competitive advertising practices, both in and out of court.

Copyright Law and Licensing Law

The ever-growing amount of information spread, in particular, on the internet makes it more and more difficult to use, process and disseminate contents in a non-infringing way. I have the expertise and experience to support and advise you on a large number of issues: use of third party content, claims for copyright infringement, drafting or reviewing of software, image or text licence agreements, cease and desist letters and/or court proceedings for copyright or licence infringement.

Travel and Tourism Law (for tour operators)

My services in travel and tourism law are not limited to advice for tour operators on typical travel law issues (all-inclusive tours and customised private tours), but meet the whole range of legal needs of service providers in travel industry. This includes general travel terms and conditions, contracts with service providers in travel industry, framework agreements, advertising campaigns, tender procedures, and the wide variety of EU regulations. Thanks to my function as a temporary lecturer for future travel and tourism managers, I stay informed on topical issues.

Employment Law

Issues of employment law may arise in almost every other field of law, last not least in industrial property law. Some keywords in this context are data protection, liability, employees’ inventions, trade secrets and non-competition clauses. Even though most of my clients are employers, I also give advice to employees (senior or otherwise), executives, directors and managers. I assist you in establishing, managing and terminating employment relationships and answer your questions on employment law matters. I offer nationwide in-court and out-of-court representation.

Labour Law

Labour law regulates the legal relations between trade unions, works councils, employers’ associations and individual employers. My expertise includes (without being limited to) the advising of employers on company agreements, co-determination rules, data protection regulations and safety-relevant issues.
